After months of meetings and a thorough evaluation of the district's immediate facility needs due to growth, the Long Range Facility Planning Committee—comprised of parents, community members, educators, and district employees—presented their findings and recommendations to the BRISD School Board at their regular meeting on Tuesday, January 21st.
The BRISD Board of Trustees approved the committees recommendation by calling a bond election for a total amount of $59,470,000, to be held on May 3, 2025. Importantly, this bond proposal would not result in a tax rate increase for taxpayers. Projects will be funded through new valuations and growth within the district. We will provide more detailed information in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued support as we work to meet the growing needs of our district.
