There is a lot happening across Blue Ridge ISD, and we want our families and community to stay connected along the way.
Dr. Matthew Brown is launching a new monthly Superintendent Community Update featuring news, celebrations, district priorities, progress on major projects, and important information from across BRISD.
In the first edition, Dr. Brown shares more about our start to the school year, our academic focus, opportunities for students, Bond 2025 progress, a new attendance communication tool, and more.
🐯 Check out the August edition of Raise the Ridge and see what is happening across BRISD!

The National School Lunch Program requires households to fill out a new application for free/reduced lunch every school year, including households that were approved last school year. These applications must be completed within the first 30 days of the new school year, or the benefits will expire. Benefits from the previous year will expire on Thursday, September 24, 2026. Students whose households have not renewed their application by September 24th will be required to pay for meals. We encourage you to check with the cafeteria on the status of your household and benefits as soon as possible. You may fill out an application online or submit a paper copy. The applications are available on the Blue Ridge ISD website, at www.bit.ly/LunchAppBRISD, or at your child's campus.
If you have any questions, please contact Terri Rodriquez, Director of Child Nutrition.

Our first home football game of the season is coming up Thursday night as the JV Tigers take the field against Farmersville!
Before heading to the stadium, take a few minutes to review the graphics for important game-day information, including:
• Home and visitor parking, entrances, and visiting team/band/cheer parking
• Tiger Stadium ticket prices and spectator guidelines
• Texas law requirements regarding spectator conduct and removal from athletic events
We want Tiger Stadium to be a welcoming, safe, and positive environment for our students, families, guests, and officials. Thank you for helping us start the home season the right way!
🐯🏈 Go Tigers! #RaiseTheRidge

We’re proud to share that, during the July 27th meeting, the BRISD Board of Trustees approved the district’s 2026–2027 compensation plan!
The plan includes:
🐯 A 3% midpoint salary increase for eligible employees
🍎 One free school lunch each school day for every employee
💚 A $325 district contribution toward each employee’s health insurance
We are deeply grateful to our Board of Trustees for investing in the people who serve our students and community each day. To our BRISD employees: thank you for your dedication, your heart, and the tremendous impact you make.
Investing in our people. Raising the Ridge.
