At tonight’s school board meeting, we recognized our heritage Spanish speakers from BRMS and BRHS. These hard working students completed additional testing and work to earn high school course credit for Spanish 1-4. The BRISD Board of Trustees voted to appoint Scott Cessna to fill the vacant BRISD Board of Trustees Place 6 position. Mr. Cessna previously served as a Board Trustee and we look forward to his leadership and vision. #BRISDpride #RaiseTheRidge


At tonight’s school board meeting, the BRISD Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Place 6 Board Trustee Phillip Pulliam. Mr. Pulliam has been a dedicated board trustee since 2017. BRISD superintendent Dr. Darrell Floyd presented Mr. Pulliam with a plaque to recognize his years of service to Blue Ridge ISD. It's going to be a fantastic week for BRISD Athletics! Volleyball is at home tonight and on Friday. Varsity Football takes on Commerce at home on Friday and Cross Country heads to Grand Prairie on Saturday. JV Football will head to Commerce on Thursday and BRMS 7th and 8th-grade teams will scrimmage Commerce at home beginning at 5:00. Also on Thursday night our BRMS volleyball teams will scrimmage each other at the BRMS gym. Come out and cheer your Tigers on to victory!

The National School Lunch Program requires households to fill out a new application for free/reduced lunch every school year, including households who were approved last school year. These applications must be completed within the first 30 days of the new school year or the benefits will expire. Benefits from the previous year will expire on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. Students whose households have not renewed their application by September 25th will be required to pay for meals. We encourage you to check with the cafeteria on the status of your household and benefits as soon as possible. You may fill out an application online or submit a paper copy. The applications are available on the Blue Ridge ISD website or at www.bit.ly/LunchAppBRISD.
