Delivering a treat or two for all the amazing things they do!

3rd grade readers are responding to literature with extended responses today and making connections to grow as writers! We worked in teams, and had spirited debates that will make those learning connections STICK! Love these kids and their big brains!

Wow! Mrs. Anderson is growing great leaders in third grade. Watching her student ambassador lead the morning routine and honor the class contract gives me chills! These kids are our future -- and the future looks bright! #CapturingKidsHearts

These boys are really showing what they know -- weathering, erosion, earthquakes, natural springs, stalactites, stalagmites -- they are true spelunkers today in their self made and planned cave!

We would love for our students to join us in celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas celebration.

"We are way too smart to just trust someone else's plan". This quote from one of my 5th GT kiddos inspired our Speed STEM activity today. Students completed 3 STEM activities in 35 minutes and presented them. After each round, they evaluated their planning and made improvements! So much fun! Such great discussion!

Our BRE Betas are working hard to get ready for our trip to the food pantry on Friday! BRE students donated almost 3000 items and we are busy sorting and prepping them!

Please take a few minutes to complete our Annual CKH Survey! We would love the feedback.

After almost two hours deep in thought for their Greek Gods research, these boys needed some game time! The critical thinking game SET kept them learning while they played!

A little extra love and support helps these third grade readers to EXCEL! Mrs Anderson is there for these, and all, her students with small group support and checkins to make sure they understand!

Woah! Fifth grade has come to win! Just look at this cart filled with canned goods for local area food banks! Let's keep bringing those cans through THURSDAY! Someone will win a popcorn party!

Due to the early release this Friday, we will adjust our lunch schedule to ensure all students have an opportunity to eat prior to going home.

Don't forget to pick up your cookie dough tomorrow!

It helps to start the day off on a positive note! I was walking by Mrs. Wilson's class today, and the sound of sharing "GOOD THINGS" first thing in the morning made my heart smile! These kids have such a caring teacher!

These learners in Malayna Chatigny's 2nd grade classroom are in charge of their learning during stations. And... they can explain why they are doing these fun activities!

When visiting Ms. Garzas second grade ELAR class, expect to be excited! Her students love to share their thinking in conversation and writing, and she is so talented at giving each one of them personalized and genuine feedback! What a happy place to learn!
