Weather Update: Monitoring Conditions for Wednesday, Jan. 28
Blue Ridge ISD is continuing to monitor road conditions and the weather as we determine plans for school on Wednesday, January 28th. Although some main roads may be starting to improve, many neighborhood streets and county roads remain icy and could be unsafe. Our focus is on keeping students, staff, and families safe, with particular attention to student drivers and bus routes that travel a wide range of roads across our community.
We know families need time to plan, so our intention is to have a decision by 6:00 PM this evening. Any closure or delay information will be communicated through all available channels.
If any program-specific adjustments are needed, coaches and campus administration will share those details directly with participants.

Weather Update
After closely monitoring local weather and road conditions, Blue Ridge ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, out of an abundance of caution. Forecasts indicate temperatures are expected to remain at or below freezing, which may result in hazardous road conditions for buses, staff, and student drivers. All extracurricular activities and after-school events scheduled for Tuesday are canceled or will be rescheduled.
We will continue to monitor conditions to determine school operations for Wednesday, January 28th, and share any updates via the usual channels.
