NED's Resiliency Ride, is a character education program that centers around three important messages that have lifelong relevance: Never give up, Encourage others and Do your best. During the assembly, students will learn about the importance of these three life skills while also enjoying storytelling, magic, humor and yo-yo tricks.

First grade writers all know that the best writing comes from something you KNOW. They also know how to use their room to help. Word walls and color words make these rooms the perfect place for young writers to show what they know!

Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Daughety as our BRE October Teacher of the Month! We are so blessed to have her as a part of our BRE family and 4th grade team.

She's so excited, and she just can't hide it! As I walked down the hall today, this second grade math wonder stopped me to show me her comparison turkey! She articulated her number comparison so well, "My turkey shows that 100 is more than 10!"

5th grade scientists are solving problems through engineering and testing their builds. The conversations and discussion can get heated - but in a good way! These kids are challenging each other!

When 1st graders retell key details from a story in complete sentences and use talking stems to ask for help- everyone learns!

Blue Ridge Fire Department came and shared fire safety with our Pre-K students. They enjoyed learning how to crawl low, stop drop and roll, use the jaws of life, spray their teacher with water and so much more. Thank you so much to the Blue Ridge Fire Department!

Fifth graders are learning how to add and subtract fractions with equivalence, number line, and pictorial strategies.

What a wonderful day to honor our veterans! BRE Beta was there to serve and did so beautifully! Our second grade singers and social Smore Holiday singers were amazing!

Learning is fun in 4th grade! Students worked on word study with a fun game of memory match. Students proved their understanding of prefixes and suffixes by working together to match words with their meaning and then checking their matches with their peers. #RaiseTheRidge

When students lead and teach, everyone learns at deeper levels. These sweet kids in Mrs. Andersons class are loving their guest reader -- who is also one of their classmates! Love this!

These girls showed true servant hearts in the cafeteria this morning! Not only did they help other students during breakfast, but they also took the time to pick up any trash left behind. Way to go, girls! Your kindness and leadership make a difference every day. #RaiseTheRidge

Don't forget those canned goods! We can do an awful lot of everyone gives just a little!

4th GT is solving mysteries and creating them too! From ciphers to patterns to puzzles and code - we can do it all!
