The National School Lunch Program requires households to fill out a new application for free/reduced lunch every school year, including households who were approved last school year. These applications must be completed within the first 30 days of the new school year or the benefits will expire. Benefits from the previous year will expire on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Students whose households have not renewed their application by September 24th will be required to pay for meals. We encourage you to check with the cafeteria on the status of your household and benefits as soon as possible. You may fill out an application online or submit a paper copy. The applications are available on the Blue Ridge ISD website, at www.bit.ly/LunchAppBRISD, or at your child's campus.

Tomorrow is the last day to register for the 2025-2026 school year and be guaranteed to appear on class lists and/or get a schedule by Meet the Teacher. Parents/Guardians of returning students MUST complete the registration process to confirm or update student information and complete required forms. Failing to complete the online registration process and failing to provide all necessary registration documentation by July 31st will result in your student not being assigned a class or schedule for the upcoming year. Forms cannot be uploaded from your phone; this must be done from a computer. Please visit https://www.brisd.net/page/student-enrollment-information to complete the registration process today. Remember, students must be registered for transportation each year. Students registered for the bus after July 31st may not be assigned to a route until the second week of school.

Mark your calendars for Meet the Teacher 2025!

New Personal Communications Device Law Texas House Bill 1481, a new state law, will take effect during the 2025-26 school year and will directly impact student personal communication devices during the school day, from the first bell to the last bell. Students may not use personal cellphones, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds, or similar devices during the school day. This includes lunch and passing periods. Please begin talking to your child now about this upcoming change. Your support will help us create a more focused learning environment. We will provide more detailed information via email in the coming days.
