After months of meetings and a thorough evaluation of the district's immediate facility needs due to growth, the Long Range Facility Planning Committee—comprised of parents, community members, educators, and district employees—presented their findings and recommendations to the BRISD School Board at their regular meeting on Tuesday, January 21st.
The BRISD Board of Trustees approved the committees recommendation by calling a bond election for a total amount of $59,470,000, to be held on May 3, 2025. Importantly, this bond proposal would not result in a tax rate increase for taxpayers. Projects will be funded through new valuations and growth within the district. We will provide more detailed information in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued support as we work to meet the growing needs of our district. For more information on the Long Range Facility Planning Committee and their work please visit https://www.blueridgeisdfpc.com.

For the safety of our students, staff, and families, Blue Ridge ISD will be closed on Friday, January 10th. All high school basketball games for Friday have been canceled. We look forward to seeing everyone back on campus on Monday. Stay safe and warm!

Due to inclement weather conditions and the forecast of a wintry mix, precipitation, freezing temperatures, and the potential for hazardous road conditions, Blue Ridge ISD will be closed tomorrow, January 9th. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of our students and staff in mind. We will continue to monitor the weather for Friday and provide updates through our website, social media, news outlets, and email. Please note that all BRMS Basketball games for tomorrow have also been canceled.
