BRHS is excited to welcome MJ Bland to the Tiger Family! Coach Bland will be teaching English and will be our Offensive Coordinator and Head Powerlifting coach.
Coach Bland is starting his third year of teaching and recently finished his Masters degree. He is moving to Texas from Kansas City with his wife Sara and their dog Phoebe. Coach Bland has many years of football experience at both the high school and college levels. He says, “I’m looking forward to being a part of the Blue Ridge family."

Please join us in welcoming Brandon Kane to the Tiger Family! Coach Kane will be teaching world history and coaching boys sports.
Coach Kane is entering his 1st year teaching world history and will be coaching the offensive line for football as well as an assistant coach for boys basketball and baseball. Brandon began playing collegiate football at Emporia State university before transferring to UNT and continuing his playing career while obtaining his bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Coach Kane is excited to make a positive impact on his students and athletes as well as becoming a catalyst for the schools athletic success.

BRHS is excited to welcome Joel Zuniga to the Tiger Family! Coach Zuniga will be teaching special education and will be our Head Cross Country coach and a girl's assistant coach.
Coach Zuniga is joining us from Wylie High School where he was the Head Girl's Basketball coach for the last 4 years. He has been in education for 16 years teaching social studies and special education. He and his wife, Jessica, who works with children who have Autism, are moving to the Blue Ridge community with their four kids, Eli-9th, Gabbie-8th, Josie-5th, and Leila-3rd. Coach Zuniga is looking forward to helping our special education students and building the total distance running program from junior high up to high school.

Mrs. Edwards graduated from UNT and is currently in grad school to obtain her master's in instructional design. She has over 10 years of teaching experience in various areas. The last 4 years, she was the Campus Instructional Support Facilitator in Frisco ISD. She says, "I look forward to joining the Tiger Family and helping students reach their full potential while building and fostering relationships." #BRHSpride

BRHS is excited to welcome Hayden Stallings to the Tiger Family! Mr. Stallings will be teaching algebra and financial math.
He is going into his 5th year of teaching mathematics, his first 4 years were as a middle school honors math teacher. He graduated from the University of North Texas in 2019 with his bachelor's degree and is currently in graduate school to obtain his master's in Educational Leadership to become a principal. Mr. Stallings says, "I am super excited to get to know the students and the small town feel of a school district like Blue Ridge. I am hopeful that I can inspire students to learn and grow in the classroom and strive to be the best they can be!"

Blue Ridge ISD will be offering free breakfast and lunch for kids 18 and younger. Meals will be available at the BRES Cafeteria Monday- Thursday from June 5- 29. Breakfast will be served from 7:30-9:00 and lunch will be served from 11:00-12:30. Come enjoy some delicious meals!
