Happy Mother's Day to all of our BRHS moms!


Mrs. Lentz's senior English classes had a Middle Earth Expo Day today.

BRHS is excited to welcome AJ Valdez to the Tiger Family! Coach Valdez will be teaching geography and coaching boys sports.
Coach Valdez has been in education for almost 28 years. He graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a BS in Kinesiology. He has taught/coached at Alice, Goliad, Sonora, and Scurry-Rosser previously. He has also served as a Fellowship of Christian Athlete facilitator for over 12 years. Coach Valdez and his wife Marie have raised four boys and he is U.S. Army Veteran.
Coach Valdez says, "my personal educational philosophy is to encourage positive, ethical behaviors, such as honesty and accountability while including a competitive passion on the field and in the classroom."

BRHS will be having sports physicals on Tuesday, May 14th from 8:30-2:00 in the BRHS Gym Foyer. The cost of a physical will be $20 and can be paid in cash or by check. Students wishing to participate need to complete the physical form on Rank One or visit www.brisd.net/page/athletics for the physical form.

We were honored to give a BRISD Challenge Coin to Coach Rodriguez this week. These coins are awarded to staff members who make special contributions to the district. Coach Rod has been an outstanding leader and mentor for our students.


Thank you to our BRHS School Lunch Heroes! They are the best and we appreciate them so much.


Congratulations to Cash Goodman on earning 3rd place in the 110m hurdles at State! We are so proud of your hard work!

Please join us in welcoming Sarah Fielden to the Tiger Family! Mrs. Fielden will be serving as our Special Education Coordinator and our Varsity Cheer Coach.
Mrs. Fielden graduated from Texas A&M University - Commerce where she earned a B.S. in Kinesiology and Sports Studies and a M. Ed. in Educational Administration. She is very passionate about supporting all types of learners and strives to help students be successful by preparing them for life beyond the classroom. Additionally, she brings 16 years of experience coaching female athletes and is excited to work with the cheer program. She loves spending time with her family, reading, and is a proud Cincinnati Bengals fan. Who Dey!

BRHS is excited to welcome Willow Duncan to the Tiger Family! Ms. Duncan will be teaching theatre and art at BRHS and BRMS.
Ms. Duncan is from Mount Pleasant, TX and is a graduate of Texas A&M- Commerce. She has a deep passion for all things theatre, especially sewing/costume design. She loves to travel, be outdoors, paint, sing, and watch movies. This will be her first year teaching and couldn’t be more excited.


Please join us in welcoming Matt Spann to the Tiger Family. Coach Spann will serve as our Defensive Coordinator, track coach, and will teach at BRHS.
Coach Spann graduated from Liberty University and has been in education for the past 10 years. He has coached at Lindale, Katy, Melissa, and now Blue Ridge. He has grown up around the game of football as his father and grandfather were both coaches as well. He is excited to make a positive impact on the students of Blue Ridge ISD in the classroom as well as the on the field.


Join us Thursday as we cheer on Cash Goodman in the 110m hurdles at the State Track Meet in Austin. He placed 2nd in the region and he now owns all BRHS records in the hurdles. He also competed this year at regionals in the 300m hurdles and did well.
