Today, Mrs. Levi's class blended some reading and writing. First, they read a story: At the Library. Then, they drew a picture of a library and things that can be found at the library. A few drew our school librarian! Last, they practiced being good listeners and good speakers. Each child stood up in front of the class and showed their picture. The genre this week is informational text (detail, details, details). The class looked and listened for as many details as possible.

We read "The Little Red Fort" in the library and, just like Ruby, we drew our plans, gathered our supplies, and build our own forts. Our BRE Tigers had so much fun with this activity.

Mrs. Bowlin's 4th grade class taking a deep dive into understanding vocabulary words. Love this strategy Mrs. Bowlin is using for students to show their own knowledge of each word by doing more than writing the definition. #RaiseTheRidge
