The excitement was HUGE today as fourth grade GT found an encrypted message to solve! They not only solved it - they used the cipher to write their own messages! We are cryptographers!

Thank you to everyone helping out the book fairy! Today we had some very happy kids get surprised with a trip to the book fair. So many books and two very long receipts later we as a school and community have helped make a difference in some lives! I also want to shout out one of my students who then used his book fairy time to pick out an extra book for the life skills students. That just shows how kindness trickles down and becomes a waterfall!

Please join us for the Pep Rally in the HS gym tomorrow!

Beginning on Monday, October 14, 2024, the new gates constructed across Tiger Pride Circle between Blue Ridge High School and the Ag Shop will be closed in order to create a more safe and secure area for our students as they move between the main building and the ag and athletic facilities. This change means that cars will no longer be able to pass between these buildings for dropoff and pickup each day. Coaches and sponsors will share specific information with their students about where to enter for practices and activities. The locations of these gates are shown in the attached image. We know that this safety measure change will create a different traffic flow at BRHS than in the past. But, like every school district in Texas and in the nation, Blue Ridge ISD continues to take steps to keep all students and all staff members as safe as possible. We thank you for helping us achieve that safety goal.

We celebrated our nurse, Mrs. Ashlee Graham, today by awarding her a BRISD Challenge Coin! She prioritizes student and staff safety by jumping into action in a moments notice! Please join us in thanking her for her commitment to BRE and BRiSD!

Please be advised that emergency services have been called to Blue Ridge Elementary this afternoon to attend to a student medical issue. There are no safety concerns or issues at BRES or BRISD at this time. Please be advised that BRES dismissal may be delayed by a few minutes. Thank you for your patience.

PreK enjoyed learning about rhythm this morning with our amazing music teacher, Mr. Lankenau!

Come out and help BRISD Beta Clubs fight against breast cancer at their first annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Run on Saturday, October 19th from 10-11 at Blue Ridge Tiger Stadium. Beta will be collecting donations to donate to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Wear your pink, enjoy fun music, and come walk with us to help fight against breast cancer!

Mrs. Davis' PreK spent time learning about the numbers 0-10 with a number line and pumpkins today!

Elementary ELAR teachers were purposeful in their learning today as we discovered the power in Jeff Anderson's Patterns of Power! Love watching these educators when they collaborate for their students! Teamwork makes the dream work!
