2nd grade is deep in learning this morning! Students are engaged in independent and whole group activities.
After months of meetings and a thorough evaluation of the district's immediate facility needs due to growth, the Long Range Facility Planning Committee—comprised of parents, community members, educators, and district employees—presented their findings and recommendations to the BRISD School Board at their regular meeting on Tuesday, January 21st.
The BRISD Board of Trustees approved the committees recommendation by calling a bond election for a total amount of $59,470,000, to be held on May 3, 2025. Importantly, this bond proposal would not result in a tax rate increase for taxpayers. Projects will be funded through new valuations and growth within the district. We will provide more detailed information in the coming weeks. Thank you for your continued support as we work to meet the growing needs of our district. Proud moment for our BRE FFA students at the Collin County Livestock Show. Our solo sheep student has spent months of hard work and dedication. From feeding and grooming to learning the ins and outs of livestock care, our BRAG students are proving what it means to be hardworking and committed.
