The Blue Ridge Independent School District is proud to announce the hiring of Lesley Jaap as the new Assistant Principal of Blue Ridge Elementary. The Board of Trustees approved the appointment during a special board meeting held on June 25, 2025.
Mrs. Jaap brings more than a decade of educational experience to the role, including recent school leadership as Assistant Principal at Spring Hill Intermediate School in Spring Hill ISD. Her career reflects a deep commitment to instructional leadership, student achievement, and fostering strong school-community relationships.
“Mrs. Jaap is a proven instructional leader whose experience and passion for education align perfectly with the values and goals of Blue Ridge Elementary,” said Superintendent Dr. Darrell Floyd. “We are excited to welcome her to the Blue Ridge family.”
Throughout her career, Mrs. Jaap has served in a variety of instructional roles, including academic interventionist, reading specialist, and classroom teacher across multiple grade levels. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and is certified in principal leadership, ESL instruction, and multiple grade-level teaching areas.
In her new role, Ms. Jaap will support the campus principal in managing day-to-day operations, instructional programming, and student services while helping drive continued academic success.
