BRISD is pleased to introduce Amanda Johns as the new BRES Principal. Ms. Johns has served BRISD as the secondary Assistant Principal this past year. Prior to that, Ms. Johns had been a teacher, instructional coach and elementary assistant principal in Irving, Lewisville, McKinney, Frisco and Illinois. Ms. Johns has spent the bulk of her 26 years in elementary education. Known for her passion for helping teachers and building relationships with students and parents, Ms. Johns will follow Shelley Reeves, the current BRES principal, as she departs for a Director of Curriculum and Instruction position in another district.
