Safety and Security

At Blue Ridge ISD, the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our highest priorities. We are dedicated to continually evaluating and improving our safety practices to ensure a safe and secure learning environment across the district. In partnership with Collin County and the City of Blue Ridge, we regularly share information related to on-campus incidents, community concerns involving students, and threat assessments. By taking a comprehensive approach that includes staff training, safety audits, and strong collaboration with local agencies and community members, we have established and continue to strengthen safety protocols throughout all Blue Ridge ISD campuses.

Blue Ridge ISD Police Department

In April of 2025, the Blue Ridge ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution to establish the Blue Ridge ISD Police Department. This decision marks a significant step in the district’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all students, staff, and campuses. The newly formed department will be responsible for providing a dedicated law enforcement presence throughout the district, enhancing emergency preparedness, and fostering strong relationships between law enforcement and the school community.

More information about the BRISD Police Department will be available in the future.
