Blue Ridge ISD is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Spearman as the district’s new Director of Technology. The Blue Ridge ISD Board of Trustees approved the appointment during its regular board meeting on June 16, 2025.
Mr. Spearman brings more than two decades of experience in educational technology, IT infrastructure, and audiovisual systems. He most recently served as the AV Solution Architect at Denton ISD, where he played a key role in designing and implementing technology solutions that enhanced classroom learning environments and district-wide communication systems.
“We are excited to welcome Chris Spearman to Blue Ridge ISD,” said Superintendent Dr. Darrell Floyd. “His technical expertise and vision for supporting students and staff with technology will guide our district’s continued growth and commitment to innovation.”
Mr. Spearman’s background includes leadership roles in both education environments and the private sector, with a focus on integrating technology to support teaching, learning, and operational excellence. He holds multiple certifications in cybersecurity, Google administration, and AV systems, and has successfully led major initiatives involving infrastructure upgrades, 1:1 device deployments, and network security enhancements.
As Director of Technology, Mr. Spearman will oversee all aspects of technology operations in Blue Ridge ISD, including instructional support, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and long-range planning.
