Blue Ridge Independent School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Rachel Croley as the new Dean of Students at Blue Ridge Elementary. The Blue Ridge ISD Board of Trustees approved her appointment during a special meeting held Monday, July 13, 2026.
Croley brings more than a decade of experience in education, with a professional background that includes elementary and secondary instruction, special education, athletics, and student support. She currently serves as a physical education teacher at Sara Moss Elementary in Royse City ISD, where she develops and leads the physical education program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Previously, Croley served as a special education teacher and head volleyball coach at Princeton High School and Oak Ridge High School. She has also worked as a special education inclusion teacher, elementary resource teacher, social studies teacher, and coach. Her experience developing individualized education programs, providing differentiated instruction, and supporting students with a wide range of needs will be valuable in her new leadership role.
“Rachel brings a strong combination of instructional experience, student-centered leadership, and a genuine commitment to building meaningful relationships,” said Superintendent Dr. Matthew Brown. “Her background in special education and her experience serving students across multiple grade levels have prepared her well to support the students, staff, and families of Blue Ridge Elementary. We are excited to welcome her to Blue Ridge ISD.”
Croley earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from East Texas A&M University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She holds certifications in EC–6 Generalist, EC–12 Special Education, and EC–12 Physical Education.
Croley already has a strong connection to the Blue Ridge ISD community. Her husband, Colton Croley, serves as a teacher at Blue Ridge Middle School and as the offensive coordinator for Blue Ridge football and head powerlifting coach.
“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve as Dean of Students at Blue Ridge Elementary,” Croley said. “I believe the heart of a school is built through relationships, trust, and a shared commitment to students. I am excited to join the Blue Ridge family and work alongside students, staff, and families to continue creating a place where every child feels valued and has the opportunity to succeed.”
Croley will begin serving in her new role for the 2026–2027 school year.
