 Blue Ridge High School is a premier high school located in Collin County just one hour north of Dallas, TX  and 17 miles northeast of McKinney, TX. As of 2022, Blue Ridge High School has approximately 315 students enrolled 9th through 12th grade.  High school students have the opportunity to participate in numerous clubs, UIL academic events and athletics, various field trips, one act play, competitions designed for all interests, academic activities, social and community events, and alumni activities. Athletic sports include cross country, volleyball, football, basketball, weight lifting, baseball, softball, track, golf, tennis, and cheerleading. Students participate in UIL academic competition at the district, regional, and state levels along with the One Act Play competition which serves as a successful legacy for Blue Ridge High School traditions.  Various club organizations offer field trips throughout the year.  

     BRHS has one of the top Future Farmers of America Association (FFA) chapters in the region and they compete in all local, county, and major livestock shows across Texas. They also participate in a variety of judging and agriculture competitions on a district, area, regional and state level. Honor students are members of the National Beta Society and participate in the district and state convention competitions as well as working with the campus student government to provide character building for high expectation citizenship among peers and community. The FFA and BETA clubs attend conventions at the district and state level. Student government and BETA conduct a district wide student led Veteran’s Day assembly that recognizes local veterans and service men and women. They also help organize drug and alcohol awareness during Red Ribbon Week. All high school students have the opportunity to join the band and participate in marching competitions, concert competitions, football games, pep rallies, and local community concerts. Special Olympics are an enjoyable part of our school activities, and students participate in area events and meets. High school students are often invited to school board meetings to share a special event or field trip details with members or special recognition for their accomplishments in all areas.  

     The staff of Blue Ridge High School provides not only a high rigor of academics, athletics, and various clubs and programs, but they enjoy creating a fun learning atmosphere. Blue Ridge offers a variety of graduation endorsements within the curriculum, including Business and Industry, Arts and Humanities, STEM, and Multidisciplinary courses providing the opportunity for success for all future graduates. Blue Ridge High School also offers several Career & Technical Education Programs of Study which help prepare our students for their futures. These programs include animal science, applied agriculture engineering, entrepreneurship, design & multimedia arts, engineering, health sciences, exercise science (athletic training), and cosmetology.

 Sophomores, Juniors, and seniors are offered dual credit courses through Collin College. They also attend college fairs, visit college campuses, and are given the opportunity to hear college recruiters speak on a regular basis. Not only does BRHS offer over 30 dual credit courses through Collin College, but the school also reimburses the tuition paid! With the announcement of three Associate of Arts pathways through Collin College, a BRHS student could earn an Associate Degree while in high school for free!
