Welcome Tigers! My name is Lyssa Broach and this will be my fifth year teaching in BRISD and my third year at Blue Ridge Elementary. I will be teaching 4th grade English and social studies. This year will begin my 16th year of teaching. 

In 2007, I graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene with a Bachelor of Behavioral Science degree. While earning my degree, I also played four years of college basketball for the Cowgirls, where we even had the opportunity to advance to the Division III Final Four! After college, I began my teaching and coaching career, which eventually led me to Blue Ridge. Teaching and sports have always been passions of mine, and I look forward to working with the young tigers at BRE and helping them grow!

Blue Ridge has been my home for six years! I have been married to my husband Nic for twelve years, and we have three beautiful children-Jodi, Emmett, and Bonnie. We also have three fun-loving dogs. I love to spend time with my family out in the country, play/watch sports, read, run, and bake.
